#Cardinals wanted not 1 linebacker, but two. With Sean Weatherspoon set to join them, I’m told Nate Irving is likely to visit this week, too
Cardinals are having a great off season with the signing of Iupati, Weatherspoon and Corey Peters and probably Nate Irving and they only had roughly 12 mil under the cap while we sit around 35 mil under the cap and are looking at Jabal Sheard lol oh god, its hard being a Bucs Fan

Source confirms DeMarco Murray’s agent & Stephen Jones spoke last night. How long, tenor of discussions not clear but they spoke at least

1-year for over $2M guaranteed. Can be worth up to $4M RT @KCChiefs: #Chiefs sign safety Tyvon Branch
Luke Easterling @LukeEasterling 6m6 minutes ago
Murray to #Bucs makes little sense to me, from either side. Better teams w/better OL who will pay him what he wants, #Bucs need to build OL.
Luke Easterling @LukeEasterling 10m10 minutes ago
Per @RapSheet, #Bucs “maybe” in the mix for DeMarco Murray, but @NFLSTROUD says fans “shouldn’t get too excited about the possibility”.

Just spoke to Anquan Boldin. He said Torrey Smith is going to the #49ers as a done deal. Said he helped with recruiting.
The #Browns made a run at Darrelle Revis last year, and are set to do it again (as @MaryKayCabot said). They join #Patriots & #Jets.
49ers announce that Patrick Willis will retire today, just six weeks after his 30th birthday. Rare that a player departs on his own terms.
MC, do you think the Bucs sign anyone today?
Yes I do believe they will. Not a huge name guy, unless they have been bluffing us. But I expect some second tier guys, maybe a LB and DE.
Any guesses on where Hardy ends up?
i have heard maybe the Bengals. Their pass rush was brutal last year, and we know they don’t mind giving guys second chances as Pacman Jones proves.
Mark, any news on Parker or any other safeties?
Parker has been picking up some other teams interested and that will drive his price somewhat, but he could be a guy that gets a deal today from Tampa.
Glazers were quoted in recent Trib article (Ira) comparing FA signings to getting a hit from drugs – you get quick fix/high – but that wears off leaving you with nothing to show for it…..or something like that. I think they’ve been burned more than enough times to know that the best way to get better is to make sure you draft wisely and have a solid coaching staff. They’ve learned their lesson…..
It’s not that simple Morgan. You need to do both well. But if you have a franchise qb, everything seems to fall into place from there.

There’s one —> RT @ericwinston: Excited to say I’m headed back to the Bengals! #whodey
And lets not forget about Trent Cole. He got out of here without a deal with last week but I still believe Bucs are the frontrunners.

LB Jonathan Casillas getting quite a bit of love. Giants, Bears, Jets, Patriots are all teams to watch in coming hours.
#Jaguars set to add another big-time FA: Ascending former #Packers CB Davon House is set join them at $6.25M per year
The #Jets set to lock up former #Seahawk G James Carpenter, who is planning to sign a 4-year deal worth roughly $5M a year.
Any news about any free agent (offense) linemen coming in? I heard that Parnell was resigned.
Making calls and texts now, but no answers as of now
Worst jersey investments in the NFL: Cromartie and Revis. They seem to change teams every year!
Is Trent Cole to the Colts confirmed?

Colts Signing OLB Trent Cole http://bit.ly/1wWillo
Thanks. Can’t blame him.
Colts have a good team in place and are adding a few more pieces. If you were a FA, would you go to a 2-14 team or a team looking to save the HC’s job?

Let’s try this again: Frank Gore plans to sign with Indy, per source; deal expected to be similar to Philly offer: 3-years, $12M, $7.5M gtd.

RT @RapSheet: The #Packers are expected to keep OT Bryan Bulaga, source says. They are closing in on a deal. High priority for them.
I’m thinking McCoy called Gore and told him not to go to Philly. No great loss if Cole at age 33 goes to Colts.
Looks like Bucs missed out on Cole to the Colts. Must be big time money. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/10/former-eagle-trent-coles-landing-in-indianapolis/
Bulaga staying with the Pack puts the Bucs in a major bind. Wonder what L&L are thinking now ? Not much left in FA to improve our O-Line.
With most of these guys staying put. The Bucs have no choice but to draft 2 lineman this draft. And do it early like 2nd and 3rd round.
I’m all for that. If we do that though we definitely have to trade Glennon to pick up an extra 3rd round pick to make sure we get a MLB with a high pick also. Maybe that MLB from Clemson (Anthony?) will still be around at top of the 3rd round and the pick we get from Glennon can be used on another O-lineman. In fact, just to be safe and since this draft is so deep in interior O-linemen I’d rather use the 2nd round pick on a MLB and the two 3rd round picks on O-linemen.
Pink, agree with Anthony and two O-Line early.I believe we waited to long now to trade Glennon, don’t think we can get a third as most teams in real need have gotten a QB.
Agreed Pink. Glennon has to be traded for a third. If we do get that, then I could definitely see us going with two lineman early. Would be a good scenario as you listed above getting a MLB in the second and two lineman in the third.
Lets recap- So far the Bucs resigned meiocre to pathetic players such as Major Wright, Louis (one game) Murphy, Larry English (one sack), and oh god its even hard to type this guys name Luke Stocker, wow. Way to sell season tickets guys, at least if i fly down for a game I can relive the Sobrero Days of buying lower 50 yd line seats for the going rate of $30 again
Jon, save your airfare, watch it on tv. That way you can turn it off with no money lost.
Trent Cole deal NOT done as of this minute.
Just heard from inside One Buc Place–“it has been very quiet here today.” Keep in mind things could change quickly #Bucs
I’ve thought that maybe many teams are waiting for prices to go down – including the Bucs.
In just a few more minutes and all hell will break loose! Well maybe not so much as far as the Bucs are concerned. It might not be until after the draft when other cuts are made that we make our moves.
Jimmy Graham is a Seahawk and Ngata is a Lion. Somebody wake up Lovie.
Has the pr board crashed?
Jersey, Board did not crash, no news this week in FA for the Bucs. Went on Vacation, be back next week !
I really think the Saints got the better end of that trade, which just absolutely sucks. Max Unger is a fantastic center, top 3 in the league in my opinion. They get him and a 1st round pick and all the had to give up was a 4th rounder and Graham? They can just use one of their 1st round picks (likely the #13 overall pick) on Maxx Williams to replace Graham and they just essentially traded a 4th round pick for a 1st and a top 3 center. The Saints emphasize the middle of their O-line more than any other team to keep pressure out of Brees’ face and Unger could very well neutralize McCoy.
We signed L. Johnson again. Doesn’t 2-14 mean anything to L&L. That guy was beat like a drum last year !
Kinderrt- I was joking the other day with a friend about how the Bucs will resign leonard Johnson after we resigned Luke Stocker and sure enough it comes true, lol Chris Conti in for a visit as well, Bucs Brass have no idea what is going on. Somehere out there Mark Dominnick is saying “yeah, I was the problem in Tampa”
I think this is a cover their butts kind of move. If they don’t draft a slot DB or get one in free agency they’ll have to keep this guy. But I did see it’s only a one year deal. So even if we do sign him , if we pick someone up, we can just cut Leonard before the season.
Don’t want to sound depressing but I thought we were going to go after second tier players, not third tier players. I’m at the point of feeling sorry I renewed my season tickets. It’s starting to feel like 2014 all over again.
Throwing money at overpriced free agents obviously isn’t the solution – the Bucs have demonstrated this for a couple of years – I’m happy they’re not spending this year. BTW, Stubhub is a good place for you to sell your tickets. With the Cowboys, Bears, Giants coming to RayJay, you should be able to ask for premium prices.
