I'm sure there's a lot of music out there that is a bit obscure for the usa market.   I've probably mentioned this band before, but I'd recommend this to anyone who likes rock.  It's an early 80's aussie band.   I'm not sure why they never made it in the usa, but they are classic!  Whenever I'm out at a night club in Jakarta and the live band asks for requests, pretty much without fail the aussies will request a song from this band over anything else.  These guys have a lot of cd's out there, but some of the versions of their songs are not as good as others.   The cd in the picture below has the best versions of their songs.   This cd should be part of any classic rock fan's music library as far as I'm concerned.

OK on record for a bunch of hipsters covering old soul songs, but just dreadful live.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Live they appeared to have a broad-based sobriety problem when I saw them so I'd have to agree.

I saw Billy Idol at the Tampa Jai Alai once where he was drunk off his butt.   He even carried a bottle of whiskey in his back pocket and kept drinking.   Still great show!

I found one that is actually the same version as one of the songs on that cd.   I can't say that's my favorite song on the cd, but I like the guitar near the end.   It's not the kind of music that blows you away or anything when you first hear it, but the stuff grows on you.   I listen to that cd all the time.

Muse was the band that opened for U2 in Tampa. They were pretty good and I've heard their most popular song a few times on radio now.
