Let's not get carried away here...The sad part is the kids lost their father.  Their father that even though wealthy, didn't make an honest woman out of their mother.  A father that was in and out of trouble, and was involved in a crazy, dysfunctional domestic dispute with their un-wed mother which caused his death.  Is it sad, yea.  But don't paint the guy as some freakin saint.  He was a mindless thug, who died doing something stupid and quite possibly abusive.  If he were any other regular joe-six pack (or in his case Joe 40) you read about, he'd be given a freakin Darwin award.  Don't let the fact that he caught some touchdown passes exonerate him from who he really was, that's all I'm sayin...

Screw him.  I didn't know the guy.  He never did anything for me.  I wasn't even a Bengals fan.  It's not like he was some Pillar of the community worthy of being missed by the general public.  He was just another dirtbag pro-athlete.  It's disgusting the way people carry on about guys like this just because they were a celebrity.

I dont think this is the place to be bashing anyone. Chris Henry was in the process of becoming a better man, and everyone should be happy in that alone. Whether he lived out the change he wanted to bring is not the issue, the issue is that he is no longer on this earth, and his kids and family have lost someone close to them. Part of this incident may have been placed because of his lifestyle, but we all make mistakes. He also may have been a problem in the NFL but death is much larger than the NFL. if he was like pacman jones where no team wants him thats fine, he will filter out of the NFL, but to say such rude things about him is not necessary.

Not necessary?  Sure it is.  I think a major problem with today's society is that for some strange reason, a dead guy suddenly becomes annointed.  Speak not ill of the dead and all that nonsense.  People carry on as if they themselves knew that guy, when in reality, he wouldn't have crossed the street to spit on any one of you.
