People keep opening a new thread for every new movie the suggest daily.. Lets keep it in one place..

I'll start off with,

Munich - Steven Spielberg directed movie.. pretty dark and graphic.. but a true story and entertaining as hell

For all you Netflix people like me, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is streaming in HD and I strongly recommend it. It is a mind-blowing movie, one of the best to come out in the last 10 years IMO.

We should have 2 threads.   One for under 30 years old and one for over 30.   It seems the under 30 guys on here never like any decent movies.

Kubrick's movies are in a league of their own. They are all a bit twisted.

Clockwork Orange was really scary when I first saw i t.   I'll never forget the head on the pig part.

Java is right about the over and under 30.  However, its good to see people going back and checking out some of the older classics like Clockwork.

My recent favs are Grand Torino starred and directed by Clint.  Also by him, the prize fighting one with Hillary Swank.  Awesome.

I watch a lot of foreign movies especially from China and Japan. I've seen all the Kurosawa Samurai movies more than once.  Recently love the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon type of flix.

These days, I'm liking more and more of the small Sundance type of movie.  More meat on the bones and less predictable.

And I guess I thought Brokeback Mountain was about as perfect a movie as I've every seen.  Ang Lee is just phenomal director.  And I will always remember Heath Ledgers understated performance that tore me up inside.

Eternal Sunshine was good but nothing spectacular.  Jim Carey psisses me off...I was his biggest fan in the early 90s but then he became too mainstream and just rehashed the same role over and over again.  Then he made that movie about the war hero who had amnesia....to this day i havent been able to watch more than 15 minutes without turning it off.

I just watched 28 weeks later and 28 days later....i guess if this is a thread dedicated to recommending movies, I would recomment one of these since I just watched it...

I liked Once Bitten with Carey.   His recent stuff seems to be all crap now.

Once Bitten was hilarious!
Well hilarious in a horrible 80s fashion...

I love the shower scene where they are looking at his crotch to see if he has a vampire bite there, and all the guys think they are "fags in the shower" for doing that.   Then Carey asks them "why didn't you just ask me"?  And they reply, "Oh my God, we didn't even think of that.  We must have enjoyed it!   We're gay!  We're rump rangers!   How am I going to tell my mom?".

Recently saw Cape Fear for the first time in like a decade. Good movie. De Niro plays a great psycho.
