I was looking over the lists of FA's at the end of the season.  As you know, we'll have a bunch of cap space.  Who are some intriguing choices?  Disregarding the draft, which we'll use to shore up some of these positions, here are some interesting players:

We'll be losing Pittman, or resigning him, as he's a FA.  Might be nice to pick up a nice third down back?  What about Ladell Betts?

Leonard Davis at T would be incredible.  Move AD to LG and Beunning has played some C, right?  Hmmm...not sure.  This is all mental masturbation, at this point...

There isn't a real UT out there that I find exciting, but Freeney or (to a lesser degree) Jared Allen are great rushing the passer.

I still like our LBs, but Briggs is out there.  Wow.

At DB, there Clements, probably the most sought-after at his position.

What about a S: Michael Lewis, a young tackler or a young guy named John Lynch?

Any more wishful thinking?

I'd be happy with Briggs and Davis, anyting after that would be icing on the cake (since other holes could be filled through the draft).

I say if we throw our money at Briggs, Clements and Davis we would be in very very good shape

Would not mind seeing Lynch back for one more season on the cheap.  He could provide "depth", LOL!

And retire a Buc, like he should.

Freeney.

The one guy on the list I wouldn't mind throwing a ton of money at.  We have been lacking a true pass rush, and he would bring it.  We are probably going to lose Rice anyways.

Really?  Is there a place where you can get that type of info on specific players?  If Pittman isn't a FA after this year, then the list I linked to above ain't all that...

Pittman's contract was extended this past March. As far as a specific web-site that would provide those details, I don't know of one right now. You might just have to search for a particular player of interest.

Freeney has the best chance of hitting the market.  The Colts have a lot of free agents to deal with (especially on defense) and they may not even afford to tag Freeney.
