Like Buchanon, Harris was a good player that fell out of favor in Oakland.  He along with a lot of the young Vikings LB's were starting to come around with some real coaching under Tomlin.

I think he should come back with his old coach and Quarles should retire I love the guy but he should I'll miss him and all but if we get Harris I would like it But I will always never forget Quarles if he does

Gruden never coached Harris in Oakland, Jr.

No doubt, would love to have him.  With Q's up in the air health situation and future, it would be good to have a young vet in Harris to compete with an even younger vet with less experience in Ruud.

wait I forgot about Ruud maybe now I think if we dont get Harris then we should get someone in the draft because Ruud is good

Dunno if this has been posted but, per Adam Shefter
Free-agent LB Napoleon Harris scheduled to visit the Buccaneers Friday and Chiefs Saturday.

Everyone is missing the relevance of this. Napolean Harris is 28 and Barret Ruud is 24. They would both be in the starting lineup on this team

Ruud is the MLB, the BUcs arent interested in obtaining a future starting MLB in FA or the draft. Although a very good backup would be nice (Harris is more than that, Id atleast call him a decent starter)

Napolean HArris is not a bad player. You could argue that he should not have been drafted as high, and for that he is somewhat of a bust. The potential is still there with him, and at the very least the BUcs would be acquiring a good young LB with a blend of size, power and atleticism.

The Vikings had the #1 rush defense in the NFL last year I think

Harris will get more than 2 mil per year, I expect him to get a deal in the neighborhood of what we paid Chris Hovan. WHich would be closer to 5 mil per year and 5-6 mil guaranteed. Not a bad deal IMO, especially when Bruce ALlen is writing up the contract. You just know he is going to make an unwritten out clause for the BUcs, as usual. That takes us off the hook if he doenst pan out

The only thing I got against Harris is that.. On madden his speed isn't in the 80's.

Harris is a first round bust about to play for his third team. This guy needs to sign elsewhere.

I don't think so, I know Ruud is like 78 and Harris is probably close to that.
