Has touched the ball only 36 times in his career, including just 12 rushes, but his skills as a powerful lead blocker are going to make Mughelli a lot of money. Could land one of the best deals ever for a blocking fullback.
Possible landing spot: Carolina, Arizona, Miami.

Replacement for Griffith.

Does that mean we have to offer Griffith that same amount of money??

true, but Alstott's play makes his $1.5m deal look like a PR move.

Probably too much money, but the guy is a force as a blocker.

Again, it could be $9 in year 6. He's a helluva lead blocker and since their run game is the biggest threat they have this doesn't help much.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Could that mean we have Griffith close to being in the fold?

Falcons signed fullback Ovie Mughelli to a six-year, $18 million contract. The deal includes a $5 million signing bonus.

This is the first step as Bobby Petrino installs a power-based running system in Atlanta. Mughelli is known as a punishing lead blocker and seemed to really develop as a receiver late in 2006, catching 20 passes from Week 10 on. Look for a power back to be a priority for Atlanta in the draft.
