You all have to remember that in an uncapped year, teams can use TWO franchise tags.

My first choice would be Vincent Jackson, but I don't think the Chargers will let him get away.  I think our most realistic choice is Floyd from the Chargers.  He's put up decent numbers in an offense that has Jackson, LT, Gates, and Sproles as the main weapons ahead of him.  He had a great game in week 17 when Jackson wasn't playing.  I'd be very happy if we added him and then drafted a WR with one of our 2nd round picks.

Where's all the love of Bryant coming from.  He's not the same player he was in '08, and now he's shooting his mouth off.  He's certainly not worth a 9-10 million contract.  If we can sign him to a reasonable contract with incentives that he can earn, that's one thing.  I'm not willing to give him a big contract and hope he stays healthy and behaves, though.

Antonio Bryant is, by far, the best FA WR out there, or he will be if the Bucs don't re-sign him.

He'll want a big contract and the Glazers arnt going to pay any signing bonuses. So he'll walk...

We will have to go the trading route to get any playmakers. Because that's the only way they can avoid paying out a signing bonus.

How do you figure that Bryant is the best free agent WR out there?

M. Austin 81 Rec, 1348 yds, 11 TD
V. Jackson 68 Rec, 1176 yds, 9 TD
M. Floyd 45 Rec, 776 yds, 1 TD
S. Breaston 55 Rec, 712 yds, 3 TD
K. Walter 53 Rec, 611 yds, 2 TD
A.Bryant 39 Rec, 600 yds, 4 TD
J. Avant 41 Rec, 587 yds, 3 TD

Because in an uncapped year they are all still RFA's with the exception of Kevin Walter.  Bryant is the best UFA in an uncapped year.

Breaston will be worth a look if they don't use the high tender on him

I like Breaston, but I don't think he's a #1, and IMO, Stroughters skills are comparable.  If we don't re-sign Bryant, we need a #1 WR.  I'm kinda surprised that some don't see the value he brings to this team.

He did have a down year, but I can't see why he shouldn't be re-signed for a moderate, incentive laden deal.  If he is a problem down the road they can ship him out.  Letting him walk and then trying to find his replacement will be no easy task.
