Top 25 BCS Rankings 2010 1. Alabama 14-0 2. Texas 13-1 3. Florida 13-1 4. Boise St. 14-05. Ohio 11-2 6. TCU 12-1 7. Iowa 11-2 8. Cincinnati 12-1 9. Penn St. 11-2 10. Virginia Tech 10-3 11. Oregon 10-3 12. BYU 11-2 13. Georgia Tech 11-3 14. Nebraska 10-4 15. Pittsburgh 10-3 16. Wisconsin 10-3 17. LSU 9-4 18. Utah 10-3 19. Miami 9-4 20. Mississippi 9-4 21. Texas Tech 9-4 22. So the final BCS standings of 2010 suck. Not shocking considering that -- *sniff* -- college football is now over. What might be shocking is the way the pollsters, whose competence level typically falls between "annoying" and "flat-out-handicapped," treated Boise State, who easily should have been #3/4.
Wait, nevermind. What the hell am I talking about? There's nothing shocking about them putting Florida (13-1) above Boise St (14-0). That's how they roll. And it's how they're rolling out of 2009 -- Alabama is, obviously, No. 1. Texas is, predictably, No. 2 (that loss, coupled with the absence of Colt McCoy, was'nt enough to drop them to third).
An underrated (I think, right? I'm confused too, it's okay) Ohio State team checks in at fifth, which means they'll be overrated again next year. A one-loss TCU team is sixth, and Iowa, Cincinnati, Penn State and Virginia Tech round out the top 10. Outside of Boise, there's nothing that annoying/surprising, I suppose, except for seeing USC at 22nd; that's just fun. How do you guys think the BCS should have panned out? All you UF homers dont even say they should have been above BSU thats crazy IMO, as BSU was once again undefeated.
