Bills Defense-TM- Bills Feb. 4 - 1:47 pm et Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio reports the Bills will hire University of Florida defensive coordinator George Edwards for the same position in Buffalo. It was just under three weeks ago that Edwards left his post as Dolphins linebackers coach to head up the Gators' defense. Since 1998, Edwards has also served as a successful linebackers coach with the Cowboys, Redskins, and Browns. He worked with Chan Gailey in Dallas. The Florida job would have been his first experience as a coordinator.
I really doubt too many of those recruits signed because of a DC that was just hired and announced 3 weeks ago, like the recruits who verbally committed months and months ago.

Most sign though because they get along with there coaches. And Id assume you would have to like your position/DC to play for him

Almost all of UF's commits were verbals before Edwards was even hired or shortly after he was hired, so he had very little to do with this recruiting class.
Nothing is official regarding the vacant defensive coordinator spot at Florida and the school currently does not have a release planned, according to a UF spokesman. All signs point to the hiring of the Arizona Cardinals’ defensive backs coach Teryl Austin as Urban Meyer’s next hire
