The Luger isn't being paid a salary to put his life in danger.   That's supposed to be a relatively safe sport.   Joining the military, it just goes with the territory that you are going to be in danger of dying in a combat zone.

He is the Michael Jordan/Tiger Woods of his sport.  Just flat out amazing to watch...dominates his foes...plays with joy and love.

Great to watch him snag the Gold, and despite clinching, go out and just flat out entertain the fans and the other boarders with his skill.  His last twist was cool as hell.

Crazy crash by that Swedish chick yesterday. Unbelievable that her knee ligaments weren't ripped to shreds. Glad to see her get up and limp down the hill.   Almost looked like that "agony of defeat" opening sequence of the Wide World of Sports when the ski jumper bites the dust - oldtimers know what I'm talking about.
