Another stop gap guy who won't be here in ten years. Gruden is trying to destroy this team!

Nice Pickup!!

I like the idea of davis to guard, which now makes up for us not signing steinbach or dielman and throwing tons of money at guard and tackle.  Then when buenning comes back davis will be able to backup tackle again or if we get a tackle, then davis and buenning compete.

Who's out in FA right now that will be with a team for the next 10 years? Were you joking?

As I had told you he was leaning toward the Bucs from the day of his visit. I know Petitgout was very impressed with the area, the staff, and particularly the facilities. I'm very glad he's come into the fold. I'm pretty sure he was looking at more money, at least marginally more money, elsewhere.

It does relieve some pressure on draft day. Kinda an insurance policy if Joe Thomas is not available.

I love this signing but what happens if Joe Thomas slides to #4?

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Good need player, now the nasty details about the contract need to be seen.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

You don't pass on a Joe Thomas unless CJ is there and even that is questionable. In two years, you could have LP at RT with Thomas at LT. Or LP at one of the guards with Trueblood at LT. The point is that this is probably (pending contract details) our best signing by far. LP could very well be here and be good for four or five years. In the NFL, that's about as much as you can ask.

Petitgout shouldn't stop you from drafting Thomas. No one we've signed so far affects what we can or can't do in the draft.

My goodness.   This is a great signing!    I'm guessing Joe Thomas is not the guy they want now.   Looks like CJ is the pick.    That'd be fine with me.   Things are already looking much better!

As long as the coaching staff keeps him at his natural position. The Bucs are known to move OL to positions they've never played, drives me crazy.

Luke has played LOT, LOG, and ROT with the Giants, so we can pretty much play him anywhere but Center.  But his best value to us is definitely at LOT.

I have a feeling the buc's are not going to Draft "Joe Thomas" even if he is there..I think they will try to move down or draft someone else at 4th..I don't think Joe Thomas is even on the buc's draft broad... of guy they want to have on this team
