I'd have rather had Shipley.

He's obviously Ronde's replacement. If this guy pans out at all, Ronde is gone next year.

This is probably true

Pretty good insight from Stephen Holder here on twitter....read bottom to top for chrono. order...

# One last point by Dominik: He will NOT reach. Looking for proven talent from major conferences. This is anti AppSt draft (Dexter Jackson)     6 minutes ago  via web

@TimCary OL for sure. Need some depth there. I'd expect to see a DE before it's over too. RB in the next couple of rounds perhaps. 9 minutes ago via web in reply to TimCary

Interesting pt made by Dominik: Price might see some time at DE in certain situations. They're high on him. Didn't know if they'd get him 10 minutes ago via web

3rd rounder Myron Lewis will not move to safety as speculated. He'll compete for nickel CB. Benn will start at Antonio Bryant's spot outside 13 minutes ago via web

Bucs GM Mark Dominik thinks they essentially got 3 first rounders (McCoy, Price, Benn) Plan all along was to get McCoy and Price together. 16 minutes ago via web

so what makes you think this was a panic pick?  because the Bucs didnt even use their allotted 5 minutes?  or because you've never heard of the player?

because DB was pillaged before they picked.

If that was the case I fully believe Dom would have picked from a better position with more value

Sure he would have.   He was projected to go higher than Lewis.   He may not have gone before Lewis, but that's because the Bucs reached.

Reminds me of what happened the year they took Dexter Jackson.

This wasn't a reach pick if you watch SEC football.  Lewis is no joke and is a perfect fit for our defense.  Nice pickup if you ask me.
