some poster said he had something like 70 punts inside 20 last 3 years. that is quite beastly as far as punters go.

Instant starter
Good call, this draft potentially has a starter at every single pick.

Just saying....

Was this guy even the 2nd ranked punter?
Draftcountdown has him 3rd.

I read on the NFL Analysis that hes good at dropping the ball inside the 20 but hes riddled with incosistency... BUT.... he did lead the ACC with like 44 yd/punt....

Well he played for Frank Beamer and that guy constantly has his team in the top 5 of ST every year.

I think if you draft a punter he needs to be special this guy doesn't rise to that level. Again, do we need this guy. Well we need a punter but that is really a good a bag of rocks spot.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Just read the scouting report on him..

72 punts over the last 3 season inside the 20, outkicked his coverage on a regular basis but that wont be an issue since NFL gunners are much faster than college gunners, strong leg too. We needed a punter more than we need depth/competition. It's not a sexy pick, but a necessary one.

No more going through 3 damn punters hopefully.

I think it was a little bit of a reach if there can be such a thing in the 6th round but hey, it is another starter and lord knows it addresses a big need. Hopefully this guy is decent.

Considering we went through 3 bags of rocks last year with ho-hum results, I'm not against using a throwaway pick on an instant starter who is young enough to solidify the position

Pats took a punter in the 5th.

Bucs took a punter in the 6th.

No shock there - both teams had a huge whole in their rosters.

Good instant starter.
