Raheem: Leaders will have to emerge

Well Java, if you like to follow a General who screams, manipulates, goes behind his troops backs and schemes then be my guest. There are plenty of African, South American, Middle Eastern and Far Eastern countires who employ men like that. Thankfully I am pretty sure the esteemed Military of the United States has more sense and a better officer training regime that weed these particular people out before they get to be a General. If not, then the rest of the world is truely in trouble.
You seem to equate success with being a leader, you are wrong. You'll once again bring up Gruden holding the SB trophy like a broken record, sure he coached well and the team won, he is a great coach but if he was such a great leader then why did so many players want to be rid of him?
As for your comment about a leader being someone who doesn't lose to a team when it has superior talent but a guy who can come in and get the job done is, well seems Gruden couldn't get past the AFC championship game with a good talent laden team in 2 years, but Callahan did his first season... so you going to say he was a good leader too?
This thread has been somewhat hijacked, leadership will evolve on the team and it will be exciting to see who steps forward in the next year, it could be our current coach or it could be some of the players. Whoever it is the evolution of our team will be a fascinating spectical to watch this coming season.

See McCoy's thoughts thread bullet #3 regarding how Coach Morris is leading.
That is very encouraging to me.

I think Freeman and Faine will be offensive captains, Freeman I believe will actually have the title, and for defense....McCoy, Talib, or Barber...though I think McCoy could easily step up and get it

Why is it so hard to find a leader, are they doing their homework on the players the acquire? Leadership start from the ownership down, hummmmm I think I just answered my own question.
Gas $4 a gallon, Thank you all who voted for the Socialist.
