I can't understand how anyone can stick up for these rich bastages that could care less about the fans of this team.

These rich bastages were responsible for my favorite team winning a SB... one of the greats times of my life.

So was Gruden ....... hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Mos def. right guy/right time. Unfortunately, he's done nuthin since and was shown the door. "You ain't seen nuthin yet, Tampa!!"

You wanna tell me how to go about firing the owners?
Damn I wish I knew that one....

My co-worker received this letter in the mail today via certified mail.

Date:  May 6, 2010

Dear "Mrs. Smith"

On behalf of the entire Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization, we would like to take this opportunity to express our most sincere appreciation for you continued support.

The upcoming season is quickly approaching.  The NFL has just released the dates of our 2010 regular season games and we welcome our exciting new draft class, led by first round selection, Gerald McCoy.

After reviewing our records, it seems there may have been an oversight on your part and your account is now past due.  According to the seat agreement you executed, we are required to provide you with this 10-day notice to bring your account current.   After this 10-day period expires, we may proceed with binding arbitration in an effort to amicably work with you to resolve any outstanding issues.

If you have any questions regarding your season ticket account, please feel free to contact us....   etc, etc

Sincerely,

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

There are no government programs to cover paying for one's season tickets.

What's sucks is my co-worker has three kids at home and she's a single parent.   She and her husband had a divorce two years ago, but apparently the tickets were in her name since she bought them as a surprise birthday present for her Ex.   She has three kids at home and has no interest in renewing.  Unfortunately, she's over a barrel and is helpless.  She can't afford an attorney.   Supposedly, when she called to complain, the only thing they offered her was to extend her payments to a month-to-month basis like some WalMart layaway plan.  They won't re-do her "contract" which I don't get becuase anyone can refinance their mortgage when rates are lower.  real nice.

The amicably to work it out is for the Bucs to cancel the account and keep the friggin' tickets.  I mean that is the way they "amicably" wanted to deal with these type of issues (and ones where people refused to sign the 3 year extension they were forcing people to sign) a couple of years ago.

I hear ya Berserker, I'm sure many people felt the ONLY way they could see the Bucs play live inside the stadium was to sign their life away with these license agreements.  What a ridiculous concept these lciense agreements are.   Maybe they shouldn't apply to residents of Hillsborough County who already paid for 50% of the stadium through sales taxes.

The same fans that want athletes to not hold out and fullfill their contracts are now trying to get out of contracts and jump ship since the Bucs are in a rebuilding phase? Sounds like a double standard to me. If you sign a legal contract live up to your end of the contract.
