Can't you still buy an iPhone and say use a SIM Card from TMobile and use their service plans?  I currently have Sprint and get excellent coverage but I also have the Hybrid phone so this might explain things.  I get much better service on Sprint than my work phone which is Verizon but TMobile has had the best coverage and prices for me in the past.  Hell a couple weeks ago I traveled out of state and as soon as I got north of Florida my Verizon phone was ROAMING the whole time while my Sprint phone worked normal!!

I think I am going to go iPhone this summer and either hope TMobile gets it or try to use their service/SIM card.  My desktop and laptop are Apple so I love their products.

I had TMobile and the coverage was terrible. I couldn't get connection in most buildings and it drop calls all the time.

I don't know if I want to get the new iPhone when it comes out or get the HTC Evo. I know I'm sick of my iPhone always freezing up, plus I'm always constantly freeing up memory, oh and battery life sucks. Hopefully all that will be corrected. But the Evo may blow away the next iPhone. Plus, I'm sure it will have Flash, unlike the iPhone since Steve Jobs has some severe hard-on against Adobe. I just hate sprint, I wish the Evo would go to Verizon. I had Sprint, I bought out of the contract. Part of it though was because I wanted the Iphone when it came out.

Verizon have a HTC phone with Android 2.1 with very similar specs.   New Android phones are released every few weeks, so it is only a matter of time before there is a better phone on Verizon.

I think im good with the pre for now if thats the case. I mean I just bought the touchstone since my charger port on the phone appears to be broken. And they wanna charge me 100 dollars just for insurance to send me a new phone

I just recently received the 2.1 Android upgrade on my HTC Droid Eris.  Somewhat faster....still a great phone for the money.

side by side....Pre vs Evo:

Was thinking about dropping Sprint. What is the early termination fee like 200 bucks? They raised my monthly payment from 70 dollars to 81 without notice and I haven't changed anything. Plus I believe I get a bigger employee discount from Verizon
