Quote from: BucBalla on June 03, 2010, 12:48:06 AMOr do you have to stick to your ego and still be right? I think it makes you more of a man and fan if you can admit you were wrong and move on. Some just have a tough time in doing that. Maybe you forget. I hated Chris Simms when he was first named starting QB for the Bucs. He proved me wrong by playing very well at the end of 2005. That changed my opinion of the guy and I admitted I was wrong about him at first.

Simms sucks the fattest donkey balls of all time, he is by far one of the worst QB's in history.

So I was right about him as well?

The list goes on and on.  And every one of those predictions were met with violent opposition from members on this forum where personal attacks were involved every time saying how dumb I was.  Yet they all played out to be true.
most felt the team would struggle last year, most if not everyone knew Jackson would be a bust.
Quote from: JavaBuc on April 27, 2008, 12:05:21 AMExcept that Jacquez had a FAR better college career, they look like the same player. I think the pick sucked. Here's a novel thought, why not let the kid prove himself either way before type-casting based on looks alone. And they don't look like the same player.

Let him prove himself even though it's obvious he will suck?  Sounds a helluva lot similar to what you say about Raheem now...Â

Dear Gruden, Boy do we miss you. I agree with you and what you said, "They fired me and replaced me with that?"

I'll have to side with Java on this one -- there was a LOT of talk about us going over .500 and it was very vocal. last season in my annual piece I predicted we'd win less than 4 games and got hammered for it. Go look back to the threads over the summer and into september to see what it was really like here, because it was most certainly NOT a place filled with realistic expectations.
