....
Too bad the people he surrounded himself with refused to change, and were terrible in the draft. I think he will learn to change...
Huh?

So which is it? The people around him that need to change, or he needs to change?
It is not that hard to figure out really.
For some it is hard to figure out.
Apparently it is.

So....uhhh....how ya been Dave?

At first you seem to inaccurately blame others for Gruden's failures, citing their inability to change. Then, in your following sentence, you state that it is Gruden that "will learn to change".

Do you catch the contradictory message there?

Maybe your second sentence was an attempt at improving the first?

Btw, who am I supposed to be? "Dave"? This is all a bit confusing.... lol

It is a new day in TAMPA BAY!    GO BUCS!!

Or do you have to stick to your ego and still be right? I think it makes you more of a man and fan if you can admit you were wrong and move on. Some just have a tough time in doing that.

Maybe you forget. I hated Chris Simms when he was first named starting QB for the Bucs. He proved me wrong by playing very well at the end of 2005. That changed my opinion of the guy and I admitted I was wrong about him at first.

Thats good to know.

I love me some Gruden, helped get the team a ring and will always be my dog for that.

Simms sucks the fattest donkey balls of all time, he is by far one of the worst QB's in history.

I'm good - hoping to see the buccs improve this year, good on this year's draft, not so sure about the coaches, hoping... and praying...

Uh, yeah I guess.

Put that one feather in your cap

How about the following feathers?

I predicted Ward would be a bust:   He was
I predicted Dexter Jackson would be a bust:   He was (believe it or not, most people on this forum argued with me about that)
I predicted Gaines Adams would be a bust:  He was
I predicted the Bucs would go in the toilet last year:  they did
I predicted Bryant would turn his career around under Gruden:  He did

The list goes on and on.   And every one of those predictions were met with violent opposition from members on this forum where personal attacks were involved every time saying how dumb I was.   Yet they all played out to be true.

Violent opposition? Most said Bryant would be great under Gruden, most felt the team would struggle last year, most if not everyone knew Jackson would be a bust. Your list of nonsense goes on and on.

Look sugartits, you get no love from me on here no matter what you do. You're a grade A turd burglar

Absolutely untrue.      I posted a link to an old thread just the other day where people were attacking me for predicting the Bucs would go 0-16 last year while the majority of the people were predicting 9-7 or better.

And here is a thread where I predicted Dexter Jackson to be a bust way back when he was drafted.

You don't know what the hell you are talking about.  Either that, or you are just a liar.

By the way, check out your post in that thread:

Except that Jacquez had a FAR better college career, they look like the same player. I think the pick sucked.

Here's a novel thought, why not let the kid prove himself either way before type-casting based on looks alone.

And they don't look like the same player.

Let him prove himself even though it's obvious he will suck?   Sounds a helluva lot similar to what you say about Raheem now...

Dear Gruden,  Boy do we miss you. I agree with you and what you said, "They fired me and replaced me with that?"

Yeah, what an assbag I am to instead of hammering the pick immediately to see what the kid does on the field first.

I don't need feathers, it's painfully obvious that is what you live for.

If by "majority" you mean "5 out of 42 posts", you would be correct.

How many of those 42 posts made predictions?  10 of them?   About 32 of the posts in that thread were just making random comments.    I suppose you give as much credence to a post that simply says "LOL" as you do to a post that actually gives a prediction.

I'll have to side with Java on this one -- there was a LOT of talk about us going over .500 and it was very vocal.  last season in my annual piece I predicted we'd win less than 4 games and got hammered for it.  Go look back to the threads over the summer and into september to see what it was really like here, because it was most certainly NOT a place filled with realistic expectations.
