Philly's last championship: 1982-83 76ers lead by Dr. J and Moses Malone.   So thats over 92 consecutive seasons of major professional sports teams failing to win a championship.

But congratulations to the NCAA champs the U of Penn lacrosse team!

It looked like a Philly team would win one in 2001 when the Sixers went up 1-0 in the best of 7 against the Lakers. They proceeded to lose the series in 5, the final game in Philly. ;D Not a Laker fan but seeing a Philly team falter was nice.

You just know that lacrosse title quelled the pain of the NFC title game!  ;D
