They went with the original 76 design and shade of orange.  The shade of orange got tweaked, darkened somewhat in an attempt to improve the look on tv after the 76 season.

This post isn't for simpletons who didn't know the logo got changed. 
This goes WAYY above your observant capabilities.

The question is: Does PewterReport know why EVERY FEATURE in the old bucco bruce logo was altered when the new "old logo" was re-introduced in 2009?

knife handle, eyes, eyebrows, feather outline, rim of hat...i'm talking EVERYTHING.

Yes i noticed .. there were 2 less hairs in his stache and his hair seemed to be more of a Blowed Dried look opposed to the previous Wind Blown look from him being out on the Pirate Ship all day ....its a complete disgrace what the Glazers did to this man !!!
