Well, post some effing pictures that prove YOUR point or shut up.

This post isn't for simpletons who didn't know the logo got changed.
This goes WAYY above your observant capabilities.

The question is: Does PewterReport know why EVERY FEATURE in the old bucco bruce logo was altered when the new "old logo" was re-introduced in 2009?

knife handle, eyes, eyebrows, feather outline, rim of hat...i'm talking EVERYTHING.

My best bet is was to update it.

"Update it"?? It's not like the pirate is talking on a humongous 80's cell phone!!
Or he's got BellBottoms on?

WTF?

Maybe they fine tuned it because the original was horrible artwork? Wasn't even symmetrical.

The old one was so much better.

The old one looked like a slightly uglier gay pirate instead of a handsome gay pirate...not sure how either is better.

TheChronicHotAir, you have a valid point.   It looks like the Glazers are looking for yet another way to weasel into some extra money.   However, I believe the guy who originally designed that logo has passed away so he couldn't sue them regardless.

Didn't matter to me. I noticed the orange was different in the jersey.

The logo being used for the throwbacks is the "original" Lamar Sparkman
design from 1976, and was used by the team through 1991.

Steve Spurrier (1976):

Jesse Solomon (1991)

The other image, which is repetitively posted in this thread, was a slightly larger,
and cleaned-up variant (done by NFL designers) which the team used from 1992 to 1996,
coinciding with the addition of the alternate orange pants / white jersey combo.

To be honest NOBODY can run their mouth on this being as there were so many "Post pics!" or "Pics or it didn't happen" types ocmments even after the very first post had the pics in it.
Talk about blind.
