remember the STP racers?

That would be SSP racers, and I had a lot of them...  They were awesome, remember the noise they made when you pulled that ripchord?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, to be a kid again.  Wouldn't want to be a kid now, but would go back to the 70's in a heartbeat.

Mine had the beard and Kung-Fu grip, but that was the 1st pic I found that was an older Joe.

That Bush figure came with camel pack, prefilled with Jack!

@Turbo - Those were awesome! Looking back, we must have been some spoiled kids. We had those too!

no doubt...

I have a few that I saved, in pretty good shape, but the majority of them are heavily played with.  Back then, we played with stuff, didn't collect them and not open them.  WE PLAYED WITH THEM!  Even raced for pink slips sometimes...lol

Forgot all about the smash-em up derby cars! We had those too and played with them for hours! That's a great find. :)

I still have a ton of the AFX slotcar stuff.  Saved all my stuff, and added to it when my son was born.  We had a gigantic set-up in our basement at one time.  He didn't love it as much as me, but we sure spent hours racing...

I had/have the AFX Data Race too:  You could program it ofr laps, gas used, etc...  AWESOME!  At the time, it was THE thing to have for these sets...

I remember how excited we were when we got the green dodge van. We used to take those cars and spin the tires on sandpaper to decrease the rolling radius to make 'em quicker for drag racing!

I had a neighbor who had one of those...  We were all jealous until his Dad ran it over with his truck in the driveway.

Then we were all happy again!
