Not buying what this guy is selling. I just don't see the Bucs with the #1 overall pick next year. Top 5? Possibly.

He absolutely lost me including the Bucs in this statement:

"The 2008 Lions are the only NFL franchise to go 0-16, but the Bills, Bucs and Rams could all very well do it in 2010..."

That's just a stupid prediction, the Bucs were a much worse team last year with no direction and inexperience all over. They're still a big work in progress but they have consistency in their schemes, another year of experience under their belt, and some potentially exciting players not to mention a weaker schedule. 4-6 wins is a safe bet, 8 isn't out of the question if things fall in place.

Unless someone says the Bucs are great you guy hate them.  It is what it is, deal with it.  The next 5 years will be just avg at best football unless Bucs do the right thing. But I won't get into that.

I'm not about to hate a guy because he doesn't think the Bucs are going to be great this year.  Hell, *I* don't think the Bucs are going to be great this year.  But the team going winless seems very unlikely at best.

I also didn't think much of his potential picks for us.  With the team extending Penn, I don't think OT makes much sense anymore, and if our receivers from this draft show any promise, I don't know that I'd want yet another WR unless they were far and away the BPA.  I wouldn't hate a Green pick, but while a lot could change between now and next April, it doesn't look like the WRs should stand head and shoulders above the DEs at the top of next year's draft.

i know its a challenge, but dont be foolish.  no one is asking for "great" team projections.  "average" is all that is expected from the media, and going 0-fer is a bit under average.

He got two out of three right. You can tell he didn't do his homework on the Bucs by his projected picks in next year's draft. He wrote an article to collect a paycheck. Accuracy wasn't a high priority.
