posting a link that led you to break the rules.

I hope some of the long time posters stand up and say something. ABuccsfan reported
any topic on the PC that resembled a political post and those posts have been removed.
Never mind that the original post wasn't political. He posted his intentions (to report) on
the FBI thread and now it's gone along with others.

This is so out of hand. I thought we were doing pretty good moderating ourselves.

ABuccs had posted something about me and child porn. It was a pretty lowly thing to
do. But I didn't report him because I don't report people. I thought we were all adults
here so I figured we'd take care of things ourselves. I guess not.

It is good because when you get at the 4:09 mark the Lead Author for the IPCC Professor Christy (the UN report everyone uses to be professional bedwetters about this) says he doesn't believe what everyone claims the IPCC believes. the problem is people don't read the science part of the IPCC and only read the summary for politicians which isn't written, by and large, by the scientists.

I have just finished watching it, well, listening to it would be a better description as I am at work and had it on in the background with headphones on.
However there are a few eye popping 'facts' shown.  For example, they showed Al Gore with his graph about the warming of the earth and the rise in CO2. They then followed a scientist that showed that it was actually the other way around, that is the warming came first and then the CO2 rise followed. I obviously do not know how hard and fast any of the facts, for or against are, but it does show that the global warming is not so much 'proven science' after all. Which is something I have been saying for a long time.

The video does a nice bit showing some flaws in the climate models - particularly the surface heating vs atmospheric issue where the theory says the atmosphere should heat up first THEN the surface and it is going the other way.

The CO2/Heat connection is a fairly simple point that I'm always shocked gets lost. When you have more heat you get more plant life and plant life = CO2 so there should be some connection but, as this correctly points out, the correlation is increase heat THEN increase CO2 and not the other way about.

Video is pretty good overall but it is at it's worse when it decides to paint pro HCGW type with the broad brush of "just trying to get their grant on".

This isn't about politics, it is about science. There's nothing wrong with anything here.
