the preseason opener against cleveland

Well technically, Tampa vs. Cleveland will be about the same atmosphere as a preseason game

I'm sure glad Penn was signed to prevent injury to Freeman.

Can someone explain exactly what happened on the play?

On Freeman's follow through, his hand hit Tamba Hali's helmet

Last 8 years?   Please.   They only really started to suck when they fired Gru and hired Raheem.

Great....and it's his throwing hand. This sucks. How can you break your thumb on your throwing hand and be back in 2 weeks?
why dont you read

Read what?  I think you lack the reading comprehension my friend.  It's a broken thumb on his throwing hand...what did I need to read? 2 weeks seems fast to me.  Since it's the tip, it might be more of in issue of pain management...hopefully anyway

You can still be disappointed with winning seasons... Even those years after the Super Bowl that we had "winning seasons"...they ended up in disappointment. I was never real happy with any of those seasons. Its been a roller coaster of alternating horrific years - and years where we were really never as good as our record.

We will see this year about Raheem. He should be on a very short leash...and anything less than a .500 season he should be gone.

I would think the urgency of getting a veteran QB for a backup just got a lot higher. Hope Dominik went straight to 1 Buc and got on the phone.

My guess is he's on the horn with the Vikes for Sage Rosenfels
