12 team league I picked 5th

QB:
Drew Brees
Mark Sanchez

RB:
Jahvid Best
Ricky Williams
Willis McGahee
Felix Jones

WR:
DeSean Jackson
Sidney Rice
Wes Welker
Mario Manningham
Demaryius Thomas

TE:
Jason Whitten
Jermaine Gresham

K:
A.J. Feely

D/ST:
NYJ

Overall, I am VERY pleased with my team.
did you take Brees over a guy like MJD? I guess it is a little different with a bigger draft format but it seems like you passed up a sure thing at RB which there aren't many of. is it because you feel like you will make up the difference by having the best or 2nd best QB in the league?

Honestly to me, outside of your top 2 guys, AP and CJ, running backs are a dime a dozen like I stated previously. With so many teams using the two back systems, you're bound to pick up a guy like McGahee who may not get a lot of carries, but scored 12td's last year. I covet the QB's with my first pick if I'm outside the top 3. My guy I wanted this year was Aaron Rodgers but as you can see he was snagged before me.

I noticed 3 QB went in the first 6 picks.  With so many teams now going with 2 or 3 RB's in their schemes, there are very few monster backs to trust in the first round: the ones I can think of that are worth a top 6 pick are: MJD, AP, Chris Johnsons and perhaps Gore and Mike Turner.  Afyter that you get horses like Steven Jackson who will get you a ton of yards but how many TD's or RB's who will be handcuffed to someone like  Ray Rice (McGehee), D'Angelo Williams (Jon Stewart) Shonn Green(LT), Jamaal Charles(thomas Jones), Cedric Benson (hell he is in Cincy with TO, Ocho Cinqo, etc), Houston with 3 RB's....   Makes it tough to pick a RB early when elite WR are more likely to go early, especially in ppr leagues....  Good luck with that team you have, does suck about Rice getting hurt.... :-

The RB's out of these year are the weakest Position this year, and have seen multiple times where the first 5 are running backs.

So I managed to pluck Sammie and Kareem out of the FA pool. So I may have found my replacement for the whole Rice situation and a possible solid back up to my running backs. Give Carnells' injury history, having Huggins didn't seem like a bad idea.

Your team seems like high reward high risk players. Besides Brees and Witten...

4 back up RBs other than that I like it, but the RB's will kill you IMO.

How the hell do you not take a RB until the 4th round? You should have had 2 RBs by the time the 4th round even starts.

I agree with this BUT.. like someone else said those are pretty much backups, thats a big risk, could pay off but doubtful. Although You probably could have grabbed Deangelo Williams with the 5th pick and still coulda got Schaub/Favre/Tom Brady who were all in the top 10 overall in scoring last year with your next pick....

I try not to bang on people's drafts because anyone can get screwed and have a down year.  A few years back in my $ league this guy picked Fitz with his first pick and then Kurt Warner with his 2nd pick (Warner was coming off a crap season) - I and pretty much everyone else trashed the dude - I don't remember the rest of his team but it wasn't all that impressive after the draft - he ended up winning it all so...

I would drop Rice and pick up McFadden ASAP...
