Good find. It's only for this game, though. He hasn't surpassed Lienert on the depth chart yet. But, yeah, out of 32 NFL teams this pre-season we have one team with a QB controversy........er.........I mean a QB competition. That's my point.

Carolina, Browns, Bills, and Arizona all have QB battles going on. Sabby just punked himself in his battle.

With the news that SS Gerald Sensabaugh (shoulder) would miss 3-4 weeks, it became possible he would not heal in time for the Cowboys' opener in Washington, despite him saying on Twitter that he expects to play against the Redskins. His injury leaves the team in a lurch at the position, where undrafted rookie Barry Church currently sits No. 2 on the depth chart. The good news, though, is twofold: One, Church has played his way into that position, and two, Michael Hamlin and fourth-rounder Akwasi Owusu-Ansah have returned from injuries. Although Owusu-Ansah looked rusty in the second preseason game, he's valuable because he can play both safety and corner and is a potentially valuable special-teamer. It's becoming more likely now that the Cowboys will open with five or perhaps six safeties on the roster. The reason is that both Owusu-Ansah and Alan Ball, the starting free safety, have experience playing cornerback.
