2nd String QB
3rd String QB
3rd String RB
A whole new Offensive Line 2nd and 3rd string
A plethora of DE's.

We need 2 new DE's

Some speed would be nice.

Pass rush is again exposed as a severe weakness.

Which response do we get this time? Butthurt? Needs medical treatment? Or the all time favorite, \"Drama Queen\"

LOL. And much of the league needs those positions, too.

JJ is fine.

It's getting better. You're seeing the rooks improve with each game.

Like I said after last week's game, all the panicking about our backup QBs is ridiculous. Johnson was fine last week and he was solid this week too. 115.8 passer rating against the other team's starters.

And a 3rd string QB? Please. No one cares about the 3rd stringer. If you get to the point where you have to play your 3rd stringer, the season is over anyways. They're basically just there as insurance and possibly a bargaining chip for a late draft pick a couple years down the road. And while I'm no fan of Ward, even I would admit that Ward is pretty solid for a 3rd string RB. Also disagree on 4th CB. Biggers or Lewis, whoever it ends up being, is better than what most teams have as their 4th CB.

I will agree with you on O-line depth and DEs, but that's something that will come in time via future draft picks.

That's not entirely true.  None of the Jaguars starting LB's were in the game.

He still needs to work on his accuracy/ball placement.  He had some guys make some tough catches for him tonight.  Either way, he was OK for a guy I hope never sees the field this season.

JJ is fine as a backup, we definately need a 3rd string QB though. I agree on getting some good DE's and some o-line depth too though.

Yeah he certainly isn't starter quality, but very few guys are. Having a backup QB who could be a legitimate starter elsewhere is a luxury, not a need. OP should take a look at some of the other backups around the league:

Jim Sorgi
Rex Grossman
Matt Leinart(lol)
Charlie Whitehurst
Caleb Hanie
Shaun Hill
Matt Flynn
Patrick Ramsey

And that's just in the NFC.

I believe I saw some Quincy Black rushing off the edge on a few play(s)? That was the only speed rush of the night that looked somewhat effective.

We need a lot. Thats what happens when you are rebuilding though. I think depending on how much the Glazers are willing to invest into the team in the coming years we will see better depth at those positions. It also depends on Dom and Morris if they actually stick around past this year or if they get fired after this season. I dont see him getting fired after this year as I think the Glazers will only fire him if they get less than 6 wins.  Give us 3 years and we should be a regular playoff contender if they do it right.

Golden Tate had himself a good night. 2 catches for 47 yards. 5 catches for 50 yards this pre-season.  I really hope Arrelious Benn decides to show up soon. Still pissed we passed up Tate for Benn. I think a starting line up of Williams Stroughter and Tate would have been awesome.

I was kind of hoping we took Tate too, but I do understand the logic behind the pick at least. Tate is very similar to Stroughter and Benn provides the size and strength after the catch that we lack...in theory, at least.

It just baffled me because we moved up to get him too. Honestly Mark D has done some amazing things with this team but every good thing he has done something bad shows its head too (Ward, Clayton, Reggie Brown, etc.) I just hope Benn can provide something soon or otherwise it is disheartening seeing a WR taken so highly over much better players available ( Tate, D.Williams, Shipley,). Just hope he can pick up the pace and prove why he was chosen so high.
