Who is our back up FB behind Earnest? Maybe EG can help pick up some slack? Or is it gonna be the Caddy/Huggins show?

Alston was a nobody. We have better ST contributors in Niko, Dekoda, Rico, etc. Surprised Nunn got the boot. I would have preferred Clayton be gone. 1 cancer cell is gone, just need to get that deep rooted one out.

Alston getting cut is no suprise. We signed him for LB depth and special teams play. But drafting Dekoda Watson made him expandable. Watson is just as good, if not better on special teams, is younger, and could contribute on defense.

And BOOM goes the dynamite! Let's hope this objective analysis continues and Clayton is the next out the door. Still, this has got to sting for Dominik and Morris.

Maybe a little but not as much as when they hired two craptastic coordinators last year and the both flopped.   I like that these two can own up to their failures though.  Better then Gruden and Allen who just kept bringing in old timers and pretending like they just got unlucky with the injury bug.

I'm surprised about Alston. He may not have made any plays, but he didn't miss as many tackles as Niko did this preseason. Niko is a very solid STer though.

Alston looked really bad to me Booker. Niko looked much better all-around. Alston was a huge disappointment. I saw a few things in the KC game that made me look at him closer. He sucks.

Cutting alston says a lot about TB special teams. Watson and cody must have really impressed.

I think it was more about competition with Niko, who outplayed him.

Huggins will be the breakout player of the NFL this year... Simply awesome.

Buccin, the Glazers had a hand in picking the coordinators last year, so I can't fault the Mark/Raheem completely there. Derrick Ward is all on them, though. Good to see they owned it and took steps to correct it. Now go get that #80 jersey and tell that guy to hit the bricks.

I wonder how much of the Derrick Ward signing was the Glazers not Dominick

I can imagine next year we will be looking hard at Ingram from BAMA

Huggy, Huggy!

Ward wasn't due any guaranteed money, so no loss in the pockets.

I think Clifton may have solidified his spot a little more now.  It helps if you can do more than just run the ball.

Next on the chopping block, Clayton.  Go ahead and give him his $8 million guaranteed or whatever it is, and chalk that down as your first big mistake to learn from Dominik.

Get off the Poopdeck!

Good riddens to Ward. Nice job by Dom in cutting this mistake free. PLEASE announce Clayton next. I am not liking the mistakes this front office is making, but I like the way they clean them up quickly.

As most of us know, Ward was signed last season to be the heir-apparent to Caddie, whose career at the time appeared to be in serious jeopardy. When Caddie came back better than ever last year, and now with the emerging of a much younger Huggins this pre-season, Ward, at his age and contract, is no longer a good fit here. So, it makes good sense to me to release him now.
