From a former NFL scout:

BARKER WILL VIRGINIA
HEIGHT - 6070 E WEIGHT - 318 E 40 TIME - 5.09*

STRENGTHS
He has tremendous size & durability for the position at
the next level. He gives a strong & consistent effort to finish
his block on every play. He flashes the ability to deliver a
blow in help in pass protection when uncovered. He has adequate
ability to anchor in pass pro due to his great size.

WEAKNESSES
He is a marginal overall athlete with below average arm length, lateral
quickness, & lower body flexibility for the position at the next level. He
struggles to sustain every block & often ends-up on the ground. He has
zero ability to reach block with sustain or to adjust to sustain a block on
the move/2nd level. He has average strength in his play. He is beaten
consistently either inside/outside by speed/quickness in pass protection.

SUMMARY
Barker is a four-year starter at RT for the Cavaliers in 2009. He has a huge frame with below average arm length & minimal growth potential to develop for the position at the next level. He is a marginal overall athlete, who struggles to be a consistent player in both the run & pass game. He has average initial quickness at the snap & shows little lateral quickness or range in his play as a run blocker. He is most effective by simply getting in the way of the defender. He tries to be a mauler at the POA, but lacks the lower body flexibility, strength, & sustain-ability to be successful. He tends to stop his feet, bends at the waist, & leans on the defender after contact. He has no ability to sustain a reach block or to adjust to sustain a block on the move or at the 2nd level. He flashes the ability to deliver a blow with his punch in help in pass protection. However, he is regularly beaten around the edge or else back inside in his play. He simply has little lateral recovery ability, after he gets into his kick slide on the edge. Despite his size, he can be knocked-back some due to his inflexibility against bull rushers. Overall, he is an average college player with great size & durability with little athletic upside to develop for the NFL level. He will likely go to camp with a team, but has little chance to stick. He is too slowfooted to compete well at RT & too stiff to slide inside to RG successfully.
