Bucs FS Tanard Jackson, suspended indefinitely for violating the league's substance abuse policy, plans to enter a rehab center in the near future.

It's not known which substance Jackson abused for the third time, but the Bucs say they're standing by their free safety. Jackson is out for at least the rest of the year, and his case will likely be reviewed in the offseason.

This should put the pot talk to rest. You can't excuse this behavior but, whether or not T Jax plays another down as a Buc, I hope he can complete rehab and put his addiction behind him. Best of luck to him

We cant rely on this guy anymore. Period. I dont know if its necessarily time to cut him loose but we cant be in a situation next year where we have to depend on him.

These are my concerns about Schiano. He thinks hes the **CENSORED**, when really he is someone who couldn\'t win the Big East once in 10 years.

I said it before and I\'ll say it again, Josh Freeman is the only thing that can save this franchise from this dude. If he doesn\'t adjust his style AND Freeman cant win enough, we\'re going to be wondering who the next coach is going to be in 2 years.

Supposedly.

Maybe cocaine.

I don't know if an individual could play at his level with a cocaine addiction though...

Forgot about that.

Maybe it was coke then.

What a **CENSORED**ing moron.

Our defense is crippled without a starting caliber FS.

Good news to hear because hopefully he can get his life in order. Just sad that it had to get to the point where he had to get suspended for a year, let down his team, his family and jeopardize his career to realize he needed help. Still wonder if Tanard gave the Bucs a heads up in that he may not have passed a drug test so they could plan accordingly. Doesn't sound like it.

I think it was Hot Pockets. Tanard probably had a few before a league mandated test. They are on the list of Illegal Performance Enhancing Drugs.

People can say pot isn't addictive, but it is. Certainly nowhere on the level of other drugs like cocaine or heroine, but you really don't have to look any further than this and other cases to see that it can become an addiction, especially one that has such an effect on your demeanor as pot does. When people want to calm down or chill and they don't know how other than pot, they're addicted. Anything that becomes a crutch to people, whether it's inherently addictive or not, can become an addiction. That applies to alcohol(Braylon), sex(Tiger), food(Jamarcus Russell lol), etc.

I'm glad that he's finally admitting he has a serious problem, but I really wish he would have done this after last year's incident.
