I can understand signing a few FA signings to help add some talent back on this team, but the whole team change over that happened in 04 didnt turn out so well.

ADW,Believe you are correct-only the top 51 count. Not sure 51 is right, but its in that area.The 18 to be signed will most probably be the draftees and camp bodies to get us to the maximum allowed 90. Don't believe NFLE players count against this number until the last cut.

Well the Bucs had a losing season last year and the roster (except draftees) remained unchanged from 05. There is no proven formula or one way being the right way. The Patriots for example approach free agency differently every year.
with all due respect the one big difference between 05 and 06 was the 5-0 start behind CaddyÂ
