That atlanta comment just seems like a veiled confession that you are hoping Tampa Bay loses next week.

Well then I'm sorry your mind is unable to think beyond something so foolish. The "Atlanta comment" means nothing more than I want to see how we stack up against a good team, do you have any issue with that?

The bottom line is that Raheem made those comments, then his team went into a hostile environment and got the win and backed up his comments.  That is huge for this young team.

Backing up the comments means beating a winning team, several of them actually. As I said earlier this week, these are the games we are supposed to win now, games against Arizona, Cleveland, etc. The stupid line " you are what your record says you are" should be changed to " you are what your schedule says you are", that's FAR more accurate.

Next week against Atlanta is key. Considering how we've played against winning teams this year I'm just looking for us to keep it close, that will show a lot. I do think we can win the game, but we're going to have to play a lot better than we have the past couple of weeks.

You're an idiot the Falcons play the same schedule as us does that mean they aren't good? Yeah shut up

F for effort.

Countless reasons we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to Atlanta yet, considering you don't realize that there's no reason to give you much more of a response than this.

Or you just can't come up with something  B)

Gotta give you credit, at least you didn't deny the fact that your initial post was nonsense.

Atlanta has become known as a winning franchise, we haven't. Until we have it's extremely foolish to compare our franchise to them. Atlanta beat NO and lost to Pitt in overtime, that's the sign of a team who can compete with the upper echelon teams. They also beat Arizona 41-7. Any other brilliant comments for me?

The Bucs are currently tied with the Falcons and Giants at the top of the NFC at 5-2.  Why do people feel the need to complain?

Who's complaining? I'm happy with where we are, thrilled actually. I had no clue how we'd play, although I thought if we did have a decent group this year it would be because of our D, not our O...but I'm not complaining. It sucks when your team is out of the running in November/December, I'm glad that won't be the case for us this season.

For all of you saying we beat nobody, I beg to differ.  If you would have told me at the start of the year, we were supposed to beat a 3-3 team on the road, then I would have been elated.  The point is, if we can win the games we are supposed to, and we are supposed to beat average teams, then we are getting much better.  The biggest thing we have to learn is to close out games we are leading.  The youth on this team is showing up in some situations, but the talent is overcomming it.

Another stellar post, you really are quite the scholar aren't you?

Are you insinuating the Bucs are on the Falcons level, and anyone who thinks otherwise isn't a fan?

Seems to me like a lot of people have their own egos tied up in the team. If you offer an appraisal of the team that is less than glowing, they take it as a personal attack.

Illuminator is a good poster. He sticks to his guns and makes good points. Some don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t like that.

You aren't going to get anywhere in the NFL beating up on Cleveland, Cincy, Carolina, Arizona, and St. Louis. Somewhere down the line you're going to have to start beating winning teams. Until you do, you're going to be known as a team who "can't beat anyone". That phrase doesn't literally mean you can't beat a single NFL football team, it means you can't hang with the legit teams in the league. Had we kept the NO/Pitt games close, the perception of our team would be completely different. Considering they were both blowouts nobody is going to take us seriously until we prove we can hang with teams like that, that's the NFL. You're right though, we have gotten much better than we were last year. Freeman is playing much better than I expected, I just wish our D stepped it up a little. They show flashes like they did today with the TD's and INT's, but if they can become consistent we will absolutely make the playoffs this season..well ahead of schedule.

I don't think there are much of any kool aid drinkers around. Most are pretty aware of the differences between the "real" good teams and the Bucs.
