Good. Hes not the future at all and there are better backups out there. Hes just not very good. He had potential at one point but not anymore. We know what he is.

I am going to miss the guy's passion who clapped wildly after any tackle or being near a play.  ::)

Good riddance lol.  Like the move of grabbing Larry Asante off the Browns PS as well.  Liked the kid coming out of college......hopefully he can turn into something here.

Not surprised they cut Sabby but it does prove they're leaning towards Cory Lynch at FS to replace Gody Grimm

They brought up Desmond Briscoe which is good. Would love to see him replace Maurice Stovall.

I'm just shocked at the timing.  Your starting safety goes out and you cut the only guy left with experience?  Obviously he wasn't the answer, but what changed between now and last week?

I think a 65yd TD on a blown coverage to a TE is what changed lol.

I guess it's not enough to look like a former Buccaneer icon...

Not sure why you cut a safety after you just lost another one to IR. We could use the depth now more than ever.

My guess is the Bucs knew Sabby would go apeshiz anyways if they told him they are going to start Lynch over him...

I think we now have the official answer on who blew the coverage on the Heap TD last Sunday.

My guess is the Buccaneer coaches are tired of watching film of Sabby taking the wrong angle.

You can have tremendous talent in college, and NFL talent evaluators can assume you have potential.

When you have tremendous talent, yet can't make the play because you consistently take the wrong angle/misdiagnose the play - it means your limited ability to think inhibits you from realizing your potential. That's why football-smart guys - those who clearly don't have remarkable physical tools - can play in this defense. Cody Grimm wasn't high on anyone's draft board - but his football IQ allows him to maximize the talent he does possess.

Sabby could never do that consistently - he was willing to hit, he had the build and he runs faster than Cody. Sabby should have been the starting safety. Instead, the guy that doesn't have the proto-typical size of a 4-3/cover-2 safety outplayed Sabby-the-goat.

The race is not always to the swift...
