Umm...first team in a conference is a common for just about most NFL teams. Heck that honor is the reason why those players in college get looked at for the NFL. And yes you want to draft guys that were starting for 3 years, it obviously means that they were pretty good in college.
Looks like Dom is drafting for production where as Allen drafted on potential.
Is there a profile for an ideal Dominik draft pick? If there is what do you think it looks like? (I tried to help by posting the past 2 rookie classes and what I think are 2 definite prerequisites)Is 2 years not a big enough sample size to determine this?What would be your ideal draft pick prerequisites?
There was some research done about what most NFL prospects that are successful have in common, and the one prevailing factor was service time. Guys that started for at least three years had more success than guys who were only one or two year starters, and guys who were four year starters tended to do even better. The longer you play, the more time you have to get familiar with the game and the more it slows down for you. I notice a lot of three and four year starters among our picks. I think that may be on purpose.
