By the way, on another message board I posted this as soon as the Redskins final drive started:"Prediction: Washington scores a TD, misses extra point. But the way this game has gone that might be a bit too obvious of an ending. "hahahaha

Am I the only one who watched the feed with actual commentary? The markers did not get switched to first down after that first down catch. It got switched to fourth when the pass went incomplete then stayed on fourth for the touchdown play. No one had a clue it was first except one guy I guess and he wasn't sharing.

You can clearly see that Fox's yellow line is at the 2, where it should have been, and the first down marker is at the 3.

The refs are the ones that keep the actual yardage for a first down. If they went by the markers then they all should be freaking fired for not knowing down and distance. The home chain gang got over on the refs then!

The ball was placed at the 12. The first down should have been the 2. Fox's yellow line was correct. The first down marker was a yard short of where it should have been, and that's why they were awarded a first down, and no one knew why.
Go back and watch the replay at first down. The ball is at the 12 yard line, but the officials first down marker is at the 3. That's 9 yards not 10. That's why they were given the first down when he should have been a yard short.
