According to ESPN's play by play, the 1st first down pass, was for a 1st down.

Watching that vid, it looks like a Fox eff up to me. He clearly got the 1st down on the 1st play.

The ball was spotted on 12 yard line.  The play went just past the third.  The official marker on the sideline was incorrect.  The Fox first down marker was correct.  The Officials screwed up.

Forget what the announcers are saying. They are wrong. Look at where the 2 referees are standing to mark where the ball should go. It's over a yard past where Fox has the yellow line.

Look at the 9 second mark in the vid to where the ref who is asking for the ball after the play is standing. It's more than 10 yards from where the play started.
