You fellas need to quite making asses out of yourselves.  Ruud was clearly in position to make the play, and that's really all you can ask of a player from what I understand.

By the way, the people who continue to make asses out of themselves complaining about Barrett Ruud will look particularly silly when they try to pin the terrible run defense on him this time. I don't think he was out of position the whole game. But hey, for some folks in this area it doesn't matter whose play it actually was, its still Ruud's fault, smdh.

If you're on the field the entire game, you're going to have your good plays. There were plenty of times Kenyatta Walker perfectly blocked his pass rusher. NFL players are graded over an entire season and for Ruud the results haven't been impressive.

If Ruud is done here (quite likely, even if the sheer pleasure some people take in his struggling is pretty distasteful), I sincerely hope the team plans to add some additional talent to the unit.

I have been on Ruud's case before, but today he was a key to the victory for the Bucs.   Ruud forced that fumble early in the game.   Without that, the Saints score a TD and the Bucs most likely lose that game.
