ACC Champ was VT, who got pummeled. FSU was the ACC's #2 vs. South Carolina who was (by the same standard - lost in the Champ game) the SEC's #2.

FSU was the team that lost the conference championship like SC was, but they were also the second highest ranked team in the ACC. South Carolina was the 4th highest rated team in the SEC. The West was much stronger than the East, so SC wasn't the 2nd best team in the SEC.

But top to bottom they're 5-5. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/16343161/MWC (5) AF,BYU,SDS,TCU,Utah 4-1 .800Big East (6) Conn,Lou,Pitt,Syr,USF,WVU 4-2 .667Independents (3) Army,Navy,ND 2-1 .667Sun Belt (3) FIU,MTenn,Troy 2-1 .667SEC (10) Ala,Ark,Aub,Flor,Geor,Ky,LSU,MSU,SCar,Tenn 5-5 .500MAC (4) Miami,NIU,Ohio,Toledo 2-2 .500Pac-10 (4) Ariz,Ore,Stan,Wash 2-2 .500ACC (9) BC,Clem,FSU,GT,Mary,Miami,NC,NCS,VT 4-5 .444WAC (4) BoiseSt,FresSt,Haw,Nev 2-2 .333Big 12 ( Bay,KSt,Mizzou,Neb,OU,OklaSt,TexA&M,TT 3-5 .375Big Ten ( Ill,Iowa,Mich,MichSt,NWstrn,OSU,PSU,Wis 3-5 .375C-USA (6) ECU,SMU,SoMiss,Tulsa,UCF,UTEP 2-4 .333
