McGahee went on IR last year with a torn MCL and leg fracture. Anyone know if it was the same knee he destroyed in college? He is going to be 32 shortly after the season starts. He could just be done.

It's the other (right) knee.

Willis McGahee - RB - Free Agent

Free agent Willis McGahee confirmed he intends to play in 2013.
McGahee didn't seem bothered by his Thursday release from the Broncos, saying he knew it was going to happen. Although he'll be 32 in October, he might be the best running back available. After averaging 4.63 YPC over the last two years, he can at least fill a power back role behind a starter. "There are a lot of places I wouldn't mind playing," he said. "You got Miami, Dallas, Green Bay, San Diego, Oakland. That's not necessarily my order of preference, though."

He should be Tebowing right about now.

If he's healthy, I would take him in a heartbeat. But why would the Broncos cut him if he was healthy? I have a feeling he didn't look so good in camp.

Did he even go to camp? He's one of those guys that train down here in Miami during OTAs.

Packers cut inside 'backer Desmond Bishop

Packers released ILB Desmond Bishop.
The sides couldn't agree to a contract restructure, so 28-year-old Bishop will hit free agency as one of the top players available. Assuming his right hamstring checks out medically -- and it was severely injured last year -- Bishop would make an awful lot of sense reuniting with Chiefs rookie GM John Dorsey in Kansas City. A high-impact player when healthy, Bishop racked up 115 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles in 13 starts in 2011, before missing all of 2012. He'd be a big upgrade on Nico Johnson and Akeem Jordan next to Derrick Johnson.

Desmond Bishop - LB - Free Agent

The Vikings are expected to make a "strong run" at free agent ILB Desmond Bishop.
The Bears were also rumored to have interest in Bishop at one point, but have likely moved on after using a second-round pick on Jon Bostic. Bishop's addition would suck the life out of interim MLB Erin Henderson's prospective IDP value. After missing all of 2012 with a ruptured hamstring, Bishop insists he's 100 percent healed. The Vikings will make sure during their forthcoming physical.

George Winn - RB - Patriots

Patriots signed RB George Winn, formerly of the Texans.
An undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati, Winn initially signed with the Texans but was waived immediately after rookie minicamp. In New England, Winn will be a camp body as No. 3 tailback Brandon Bolden nurses a foot ailment.

=====================

I wonder how this... and Tebow's signing... bodes for Blount making the cut?

Blount won't make the Patriots roster unless he improves his pass blocking. I could easily see him on a different team come regular season.

Bishop makes a lot of sense for the Vikings, they would fill a huge hole on the Defense.
