The Gainesville Sun reports that Seahawks DL coach Dan Quinn is headed to Florida to become the Gators' defensive coordinator.
We don't see how it's that big of an upward move, considering new Gators head coach Will Muschamp is a defensive mind. Quinn coached up career years from DEs Chris Clemons (11 sacks) and Red Bryant while also getting highly productive play from DTs Colin Cole (44 tackles) and Kentwan Balmer (43 tackles). Muschamp looks to get putting together a true all-star staff.

I like it. It shows he isn't letting his ego get in the way. If a certain former pro HC, now ESPN color commentator, who was known as an offensive genius had brought on a 2nd O mind as an OC he might still be coaching.

Ironically, Quinn is the same coach Raheem Morris wanted to coach the Bucs defense before the Bates experience.
