Here are the last 8 years of bowl games and the performances of the BCS conferences:Conference ‘10/’11 TOTAL Winning % ChampionshipsSEC 5-5 41-24 63% 6-LSU (split), FLA, LSU, FLA, ALA, AUB (5 in a row)Big East 4-2 26-16 62%PAC 10 2-2 26-18 59% 2-USC (one split)Big 12 3-5 30-32 48% 1-TexasACC 4-5 30-32 48%Big 10 3-5 22-36 38% Do people really still buy the "perception" b/s about the SEC, after 5 National Championships in a row?
Funny how the SEC is only 1 game better than the Big East for the best winning pct, yet people still think the Big East doesn't deserve a BCS bid.

AQ is a stupid system. This year isn't the first time it's been raised. People have been saying this ever since Miami, BC, and VA Tech left.
I still don't understand that crap about a "split" championship for USC. They are in the BCS system and didn't win the BCS championship game. How can they have a championship?

USA #5 (S. Miss) by 3 pointsI mean it isn't good when you signature victory is the Co-Conference Champion beating the #10 team in the SEC.
Yes, it is still a perception
You post the 8 year performance record but then try and diminish the 2nd place finisher's accomplishment .... Can't have it both ways.
This conference superiority thing will be a lot clearer if/when they go toa playoff system ... but they'll need a 16 team one to really validate it.

This was the AP final 161 Auburn (56) 14-0 2 TCU (3) 13-0 3 Oregon 12-1 4 Stanford 12-1 5 Ohio State 12-1 6 Oklahoma 12-2 7 Wisconsin 11-2 8 LSU 11-2 9 Boise State 12-110 Alabama 10-3 11 Nevada 13-1 12 Arkansas 10-3 13 Oklahoma State 11-2 14 Michigan State 11-2 15 Mississippi State 9-4 16 Virginia Tech 11-3 So your trying to tell me #16 Virginia Tech who got destroyed by the #2 team in the Pac 10 deserves to be in your mythical playoff system?Nah, give me the top 8 or top 10 but not the top 16, that would be kind of like little league where everyone gets a trophy.
