Starting to fade - might be a crucial time in the season to keep up with NY-Boston.

They are 9-4 in their last 13 games.  How is that fading?

You constantly reinforce how clueless everyone knows you to be.

Fade in the standing, dip**CENSORED**.

Two weeks ago - June 17th - Rays were 5.5 games behind Boston
Today - July 2nd - Rays are 5 games behind New York

Any other ways you'd like to shove your male-nurse foot down in your mouth?  I guess this is why you have to listen to sports talk radio so often.  Those idiots actually know more than you.

Starting to fade -

BTW, 17 May, Rays were in first place in the AL East...three game lead on NYY.

Today they're 5 games back and fading.

Hmm, you go from "starting" to fade to going all the way back to May.  I guess the middle of May is this "starting" point you were referring to.....

This is another example of foolishness, reminiscent of your prediction that Boston would finish 20 games ahead of the Rays this season.  Thanks for furthering the notion that you are utterly clueless.

The fade continues.  They only won 6 of their last 8 series.  Sad stuff.

I have always said if a guy has only one skill - damn it, stick to that skill.

And Biggs - it is a flippin' shame this team doesn't have another consistent hitter.  With just a bit better offense the Rays would be making the Red Sox and Yankees look like they didn't know what they are doing - hell - it is almost that way now...

Anyone see the list for the Homerun derby? David Ortiz  somehow manged to win captain and picked..Gonzales, Bautista and Cano. Only deserving one is Bautista. Can't believe the MLB has let his go on.

I wonder how Josh Hamilton feels right now. Throws a ball up to the crowd and guy dies right in front of his kid trying to catch it for him.

saw the video - the ball was thrown perfect, the guy lost his balance - it was pretty much his own fault and not Hamilton's.  I'm sure MLB won't allow players to throw balls up into the stands much anymore.
It was a freak accident. But one has to wonder with the recent incident of people falling in stadiums. Why was there no nets there? I feel terrible for the guy, he was suppose to be awake and talking before dying on the way to the hospital.

I thought Joyce wasn't going to pan out because he was older for a "prospect" but man his bat has been nothing short of stelar. Price picked a really bad day to have his off stuff. Upton has 14 HR's of the season, over/under that he gets up to 24(his career high)

I'll do a quick prospect check up on some guys in a few days.

Sickening to wake up, and pick up the ST Pete Times newspaper off the the driveway and have to see this on the headlines.....

Jeter homers for 3,000th hit, leads New York Yankees to 5-4 win over Tampa Bay Rays

Why?  Are you a girl?

Anyways...Sonny's gone:

Quote
Sonnanstine optioned to Durham, Guyer recalled

The Rays sent little-used reliever Andy Sonnanstine to Triple-A after today's game, and recalled OF Brandon Guyer, with plans to put him in the lineup Sunday vs. Yankees LHP CC Sabathia. Sonnanstine will get a few days off and join Durham next Thursday and work there as a starter.

The Rays clubhouse did not open to the media until around 25 minutes after the game ended (it's supposed to be 10 or less) and Sonnanstine - who was not happy about the demotion - was gone by then and wasn't available to answer questions.

Matt Kemp could be made available by the Dodgers...

Damn I wish we could make that move and somehow ship BJ out in it.

If I had to guess he will go to the Rangers or possibly the Braves.
