I really am feeling a lot more optimistic about this season than I thought I would. I just have a great feeling about Manny and Evan teaming up in the middle of that lineup. IMO they could be the best tandem in the league this year. Not too mention the starting staff is young and has a very bright future. Bull Pen is really the only question mark still remaining and I actually feel pretty confident in the relievers that we have competing for spots. Jacob McGee is the closer of the future and probably the very near future.

Not too mention I believe we will have one position player break out this year and become an all star caliber player... Sean Rod / Joyce / BJ(haha) / Brignac?

And then there is always the waiting game with Shoppach and how long they keep Chirinos down if he struggles out of the gate.

Joel Peralta could be a Joaquin Benoit-type pick-up.

Concur... We also have to remember our best reliever from a couple years ago will be coming back into the fold to give the pen a big boost.

The Manny Ramirez pick-up will be the best pick-up of the season throughout the MLB. Dude is going insane at the plate and it will open up for Longo to have another good year at the plate. Damon is just icing on the cake, I can see Manny hitting 30-35 HR's this year. I haven't even mentioned he WILL have a higher batting average than Pena and strike out less. Offense is going to be money at the top but I'm concerned about the bottom. We REALLY need Zobrist, S-Rod, or Jason one of them needs to have a good year.

The more I'm thinking about it, the more and more I'm thinking we will take 2nd place over the Yankees. Their SP is JUST as questionable as our bullpen but their situation is more likely to be fixed and come to fruition than ours.

Thoughts on acquiring Prince Fielder?

Think he could put this team definitely over the top. But I need to see what the BP looks like first.

Eh, not a fan.  He can hit, but not much defensively - and kinda seem like a punk.

If there were going to break the bank on a 1B (which I don't see happening anyway) I would have preferred trading for Adrian Gonzalez.  That dude is sick, offensively and defensively.

Joel Peralta, Jake McGee, and Juan Cruz have been money this Spring, allowing a combined 2 ER's in 30 innings of work.

Most of the Rays games have been against the Pirates.

Nuff said.

By "most", do you mean 4?  And they split those.

Wow, what a shame. Scott Kazmir was fun to watch here but them injuries have derailed him. Oh and his awful control too just made it worse. Dude is done

Last time I checked it's still a right to own whatever gun he wants to so long as he has the correct permits. If the guy wants to use it for target practice or just enjoys collecting guns that is his choice, I don't give a damn why he has it.

If he wanted to own a grenade launcher and had the permits, I wouldn't give a damn. At this point in time, it is his right.

Enough crap from the sandy vagina.

Rays wrap up Wade Davis though 2017:

Smart move and a team-friendly contract.

Also, lets go Tigers! Every game counts in the AL Beast.
