Got a bunch of tapes of Bucs games to get me through the off-season every year and found one of the 1997 wildcard playoff game vs Detroit Lions! This is cracking me up. First Bucs playoff game in many, many years. The memories are flooding back like it was yesterday. Game is in the big sombrero with Dungy coaching. Even Barry Sanders is still playing. Dilfer still sucks and its typical Dungy offense that just plods along with 2-3 yd runs and hardly any production from Reidel Anthony. Summerall and Madden doing the game. :)

All of my old vhs tapes "disappeared" during my divorce..... ugh!!!!

I was at that game.  Only sat down when Scott Mitchell got hurt.  Other than that, was kind of surreal looking at the new stadium coming up next door.

Cool video tim! I've got a big smile watching this as it was a great day for me and other Bucs fans who suffered through 14 losing seasons in a row. Cracking up at some of the names on the team back then. Horace Copeland caught a TD for pete's sake! Someone named Anthony Parker had an interception and fullback was Robb Thomas. Bobby Ross coaching the Lions even. :)
Hate -- that's a tough pill to take. Karma hopefully comes back on that one.

LOL @ Madden around the 2:18 spot of Tim's video.  Him and his telestrator habits! :D :D

Eerie how long ago this was.  At least to me.  I was 12!  I don't think I appreciated or even realized just how bright our future was.  Even if I did realize it, there's no way I would have appreciated it as much as you old guys!

Madden obviously has lost it during this period of his broadcasting career. As Dilfer takes a knee to run out the final 8 seconds, Madden says "Tony's son James is 3-0 and Tampa Bay is going to the playoffs."  Uh, John, that WAS a playoff game you just watched and announced! Ugh.

I remember that game being really, really cold.  And a few rows down someone jumped up to celebrate Alstott's run and dumped a full beer on a little kid below him. LMAO.  Now that I think about it, that "kid" is probably in his early 20s now.  Crazy.
