I agree with him also.

And Ill tell you why. The super rich have taken every measure to continue to grow their wealth by any measure. True some people have made their own money by putting it before everything else and having some luck (I rather work hard at keeping my family well, and learning about where ill spend eternity because ~. Peter wrote if the righteous are being saved with great difficulty then where will the ungodly man or sinner make a showing?).

One of the biggest profit making measures they have been allowed to utilize is offshore labor. The few people that benefit from this practice are at the very top of the pyramid and we are the work force that perpetuates the system so they can enjoy it. So yeah I agree  because they have caused the depresion by eliminating milions of jobs in companies that we helped build.

I think we should collectively share all lottery winnings.

I think we should collectively share each others cars when needed.

I think we should collectively share each others underwear.

I think we should collectively share each others houses.

I think we should collectively share each others twinkies.

I think everyone's name should be on the patent application form for any new invention.

I think that everyone should receive dividends from GM and Chrysler.

I think that everyone should be listed as the author of any new book.

I think that everyone should receive royalties from the latest hit song.

I think that everyone should get a night in the White House.

I think that everyone should be listed in every will.

I think if you send your kid to college you should have to send everyone's kid to college.

I think Charlie Sheen should have to get hookers for everyone.

I think when someone makes a documentary everyone should receive profit from it.

Whether Michael Moore is part of the solution or problem is a different topic, but the bottom line is our economy requires X amount of cash flowing freely and right now too much cash is out of circulation and being sat on and it's f-ing up things for everyone.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

there should be better job creation tax credits to get the rich to use their wealth to stimulate the economy.  general tax cuts on the rich are not getting the job done.

Tax cuts work when people think it is going to be a permanent or at least semi permanent, otherwise they shove it into savings. As the President signed the legislation that maintained (not cut) the current tax rates, he  affirmed that the first opportunity he got he was going to do away with it. What confidence do you think that instills?

So you agree that MY property is not mine to use as I see fit, unless YOU consent to what I am doing with it? And, if YOU decide that I am not using it in a manner that YOU deem acceptable then YOU can take it from me and do with it what YOU want?

Yea, that sounds fair to me wouldn't you say?

ok you DO understand that if we take capitalism to the extreme you will work for nothing all day long & take whatever the rich decide to give & get your kids in the factory before they are teenagers. Government - like all things needs a balanced view to work.

The super rich got that way in part due to job elimination here & hiring cheap labor off shore. Certainly did wonders for a new burgeoning middle class in India, but now that so many Americans are unemployed ~ who has money to buy their goods? India? Who has confidence in this system to spend their savings? Indians?

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. -- Matthew 19:23-24, Mark 10:23-25

Apparently Michael is closer to Jesus' philosophy than many on this thread ... and just as hypocritical.

A lot of corporations don't pay taxes - not unusual in the United States.
We have the highest tax rate among developed countries in the world

And if you take Michael Moore's philosophy to the extreme you will have exactly the same, except the "rich" will be the Govt who could also lock you up or shoot you if they don't like what you say or do. The big difference is that in Capitalism you have have the choice to quit your job if you so wish.

So a Film Maker, who has made tens of millions is complaining that the rich aren't doing enough to help the poor. Gates and Buffett have donated a sizable portion of their wealth to charities, Moore hasn't.

No, if we move to a greater capitalistic system, you will work for whoever pays the most. And there will be greater incentive on you, the worker, to improve your skills and abilities to make your self even more valuable to your employer or a competing employer.

Study your history and look at the REAL reason sweat-shops flourished 100 years ago; a flood of unskilled cheap immigrant labor. In a true free market system, labor will be priced by supply and demand forces just like a commodity. If we allow porous boarders where unskilled immigrants can flood in and undercut the supply side of the equation, then wages will fall. But if the supply of labor is not growing as fast as the rate of economic growth that is demand, then wage will rise-ECO101!

No, most of the super rich got that way by displaying and exercising some special talent/ability, by innovating, by inventing, by exercising their mind before bending their backs.

FACT: the 3 wealthiest people in America all started from nothing and built their wealth entirely through their own inventiveness with NO inheritance or assistance from Govt. or family. 38 of the 50 wealthiest also all made their money themselves, without inheritance or help.

FACT: Neither #3.Ellison or #2.Buffet has EVER outsourced labor and #1.Gates didn't outsource anything until he was already extremely wealthy.
FACT: Only 4 of the 20 wealthiest people in America have companies that have outsourced anything (Gates, Ballmer, and Allen from MSFT, and Michael Dell)

source:Forbes.

Here is what all the socialist and communist and other anti-capitalists seem to ignore: under a free market system, EVERYONE has the choice and opportunity to NOT try to beat the rich, but to JOIN them.

This country is full of:

former construction workers, that studied nights and weekends to get their GCL and are now OWNERS of their own construction companies, or
Cooks and chefs that scrimped and saved and now own their own restaurants or
Insurance agents that now own their own Agency or
Software programmers that invented their own multimillion dollar software product or
car salesmen that bought their own dealerships or
inventors and innovators that run million dollar companies

But woo unto the slacker and lazy that don't have the discipline or ambition to do the hard work like they did, so much easier to cry "it's unfair" and expect wealth you did not earn from those who did. That's the communist and socialist cry, "come ye lazy and unambitious to the horn of plenty mooched from those that actually did the work that you did not want to. Join us in taking by force, what you are unwilling to earn"

Yes the motto of the looters and mooches is: "Why join them in their labor of the mind, when we can beat them with media lies and government intervention?"

^^^that is if things work out for the best which isnt always the case. Remember when Rockerfeller had a monopoly on all the oil, Carnegie owned all the steel, and Morgan owned all the railroads? It took Truman (trustbuster) to fix that mess....

I do not share your opinion on that. I am all for someone keeping the money that is theirs...and for small government. But when the rules are slanted in your favor then I cry foul. Doesnt mean communism is the answer but I see capitalism is starting its decline...
