With the 10th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select Julio Jones WR, Alabama.

With Santana Moss probably leaving in free agency and the Redskins not having any other receiving talent on their roster this is a no brainer for them. Julio Jones was productive throughout college and has big play potential. You may get some drops from him but he makes up with it with his fierce blocking and play making ability. Jones will have an instant impact on a passing game that struggled throughout last year.

Other possibilities: DE Robert Quinn, RB Mark Ingram.

Well, I just checked back in. I checked multiple times for this thread and it somehow keeps getting lost among other threads. So please keep bumping it so that it doesn't get lost again.
Jones is an OK pick for the Redskins. I think QB would be their first choice, but with Gabbert and Newton off the board, that pick is fine.

With the 11th pick in the 2011 draft the Houston Texans select.............Robert Quinn DE/OLB University North Carolina

Prince Amukamara is the ideal choice for their vaunted secondary. Kareem Jackson looked awful in his rookie year last year getting burned left and right and looks to me to be projected as a #2 CB in the NFL moreso than a #1. But since Prince was picked, they decide to go with Robert Quinn, the talented pass rusher from Chapel Hill. Williams is incapable of playing in open space dropping back in coverage and is being moved to 3-4 end because of that. Not to mention even if he's asked to play OLB rush how long he'll play there is up in the air with him being a projected free agent in 2012. With Williams playing end, Texans have a new need at OLB to compliment Connor Barwin. Quinn will look to play the DeMarcus Ware type role in Wade Phillips defense. How well he will fare in coverage is nobody's guess, but I seriously doubt Quinn will be remotely close to the coverage OLB Ware is. *Que for Tampa to make the trade up to #11*

With Ray Edwards likely bolting, the Vikings have a need to LDE. Watt had an impressive combine and would pair nicely with Jared Allen.

As well as this team did last year and with a big cap floor to fill along with a decent FA crop, I would hope out FO would really consider Quinn if he falls out of the top 10.  I know a lot of people are high on other DE's, but I see a big drop off in talent after Bowers & Quinn.  The crazy thing is, I could see Houston trading back too!  Hope this mock pans out!

With the 14th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri.

With Green and Jones off the board, there is no wide receiver worth the Ram’s first round pick.  Bucs fans hold their breath as the Rams deliberate between need vs BPA.  On one hand, penetrating DT Corey Liuget would fill a greater need than defensive end.  Liuget would replace undersized DT Gary Gibson, and would play alongside aging but effective DT Fred Robbins.  At DE, the Rams successfully played Chris Long at LDE in 2010, and also received excellent production from 34-year-old RDE James Hall (11.0 sacks).  However, not only is Aldon Smith the better prospect, but he fits Coach Spagnuolo’s 3rd-down philosophy of rushing four defensive ends.  Smith successfully rushed from the interior at Missouri, and he will do so with the Rams in pass rushing situations until James Hall is ready to relinquish his starting role at RDE.  Bucs fans’ dreams of Simeon Rice II will remain nothing more than fantasy, and the run on defensive ends continues.
