An inside source at the NFL tells me the Bucs are strongly being considered as this year's Hard Knocks team.

I'm torn. I'd love to see us get some national attention, but I worry about the distraction.

Thoughts?

I doubt we will, not a big enough market. Although I can see why they'd consider it...very young team, also up and coming.

I am sure half the teams in the league are considered, no surprise if this is true.

I guess I should rephrase this. The Bucs are strongly being considered, as in it is better than 50/50 it may happen.

The NFL and HBO look for engaging personalities and coaches, interesting storylines, and if course teams willing to open camp to the intrusion.

Apparently Bucs satisfy all 3.

I'd have no problem with it

I thought Lovie said he wanted quickness & speed, even at the QB position?

Hard Knocks?   I would guess that would focus on the suffering Buc fans.

That would be awesome. Give us more national pub and I bet Raheem is entertaining as hell

Good thing you wouldn't be a part of that.  (God I can't stop feeding the troll)

Anyways, it makes sense.  Not counting the first two back in 01 and 02, there have been four teams to do it: Chiefs, Cowboys, Bengals and Jets.  So you can bet they wouldn't do those four again.  They want several things: some younger players, some troublemakers or players with off-the-field issues, teams that have some sort of talent, usually a few veteran presences and one big thing is that they want a compelling coach.  Rah, whether you like him or not, is a quote machine, and perfect for this show.  The storylines are real simple.  Young talented team that have to take the next step to make the playoffs.  How Josh is maturing as a QB, becoming a leader.  Ronde in possibly his last year and leader of the defense is something to follow.  The Bucs fit the blueprint.

I thought I heard a while back that the Glazers said they would never do Hard Knocks?

Count Me in! I think it would show the rest of the nation what we already know about our guys! This team is special, weather some will admit it or not.

I have been figuring for several months that they will be chosen. I think the media has been setting them up for it. Raheem is a ham like Rex Ryan , so I am sure he would love being in the spotlight but I could only think it would be a big distraction for such a young team.

This team needs all the attention that it can get so lets hope it comes to fruition .

"Attention" doesn't do anything except line the Glazers' pockets. I would rather see a "better" product than a "famous" product on the field.
