Just popped up on the news. New boss same as the old boss. Another act of war going to be committed without a declaration of war. Why do we need a Congress or Senate? For what purpose? Let's just have one man, one dictator who answers only to the United Nations.

John Galt?

Aren't we pretty much prepared to attack most countries with missiles?

Maybe this is a new stimulus strategy. Use up those old missiles so we can get people working building shiny new missiles.

The funny thing about the French getting involved is that Gadhaffi funded Nicholas Sarkozy's campaign when he ran for President of France.  Gotta love it!

Good to know Barry will have followed all the steps precedent to attacking a country - the whole discussion with congress, their agreement and authorization....

This is all Bush's fault; he's a warmonger.

Don't worry, Obama is going to have the troops out of the middle east within his first year of office.

Gittmo's closing is right after the trials in NYC right?

You rightwingers need to stay on script.  Not  more  than a couple of days ago your news network was complaining about the administration NOT doing anything. BTW, this kind of action doesn't require Congress's approval.

I have got to be honest and say I am not sure about this one. We are getting involved because we don't like one side?

That pretty much sums it up. Don't get me wrong, I am not on the Michael Moore bandwagon and won't lose any sleep if Gaddafi is sent packing, but the pretext to this is pretty flimsy. I mean if it takes you 3 weeks to come to a decision about whether to get involved or not means that you are really, really, really indecisive or didn't want to but have been dragged kicking and screaming.

Personally I see it as an internal issue to Libya. A no fly zone is not going to stop a slaughter should it occur. It just changes the weapons used and/or slows it down a bit. If Gaddafi decides to exact revenge, only regime change will prevent that and it means the NATO assets will have to provide air support for a prolonged military campaign for the "rebels", if not ground troops. We have the US Admiral saying this is not about regime change; obviously because he has had his orders from above. If that is the case, the current actions will only postpone any slaughter if there is going to be one.

What kind of action is this Morgan?  Just wondering about the ordering of troops to attack a foreign country - destroying property and killing people - I was thinking this something that might be good conversation in Congress.  But first - what is it that Barry has ordered up here...
