while modern wicca only dates back to around 1950 or so it's foundation far outdates Christianity.

Judaism is Christianity's foundation.  How far back does the Wiccan foundation go?

The overwhelming majority (if not all) of Wiccans don't tell you what to believe and don't force their beliefs on others. They also don't tell you that you're going to hell, label you an infidel or try to kill you, if you don't worship like they do. Regardless of their other beliefs, that's a big plus.

Ever been on a crowded bus with a broken AC next to some Wiccans? Trust me when I say they have their own ways of being "offensive"

Yep that unique "scent" they bring to the world is plenty offputting. I can get rid of nuts who want to tell me about the lord easy enough but that stink is a close cousin to curry stink.

It's not unique to Wiccans and I call it hippie perfume. It's nasty. I think it's called patchouli perfume.

I haven't seen any Wiccans trace their foundation back to Sumerian religion.  Got a link?

the worship of the goddess and horned god. Enki in Sumerian myth-Ptah in Egyptian were associated with a ram/goat.  the pentagram is traced back to Sumerian culture.

Those seem pretty broad, and could be said of most polytheistic religions.

The old Celtic and Gallic cultures had no written records so the first written descriptions were by Romans. Julius Caesar wrote about them some in his commentaries, which precede Christianity by 50 some years. But those religions were mostly wiped out by 800-1000 AD. Modern Wicca is not really related.

If the answer is Fabreze why is the issue of origin or continuation of Wiccan from the ancient world all that worthy of discussion?  Just curious... ;D :D ;D

I didn't know what S&B was referring to.  I wasn't aware that Wiccans traced their origins to the Sumerians.  I'm still not all that convinced.

lol-hippie perfume.

I think it's called unshaved pits and no deodorant. Mother Gaia apparently doesn't like artificial chemicals like deodorant or soap. You're just supposed to rub bay leaves and cloves all over and you are good to go

Hard to prove that from what I have read. It's more influenced by Crowley's work than anything the Sumerians were doing.

Some aspects of Wicca DO seem to borrow from certain pagan cults/religions that go way back before Christianity.
